Vanaf vandaag kunnen we officieel aan de slag met Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Wie echter allergisch is voor technische onvolmaaktheden, die denkt beter nog eens na alvorens hij of zij de game(s) aanschaft. De nieuwe Pokémon spelletjes lijken namelijk pijnlijk slecht te draaien op de Nintendo Switch.
Zelf hebben we op het moment van schrijven nog geen reviewversie mogen ontvangen, maar reviews die wel al beschikbaar zijn maken doorgaans allemaal melding van ernstige technische problemen. Jammer, want diezelfde reviews melden ook dat Pokémon Scarlet & Violet los van die technische problemen best wel goede games zijn.
De technische problemen waarvan melding wordt gemaakt zijn uitvoerig. Frame drops, pop-up, personages die door elkaar heen wandelen, stuttering, Pokémon die in rotsen verdwijnen, de camera die plots onder de grond duikt, animaties die plots een eigen leven gaan leiden of simpelweg slecht in elkaar zitten, en zo verder en zo voort.
